Dating this very pretty Gentlemans Motor launch is difficult but she probably dates from the late 1930's or 40's.

She was professionally made but we have been unable to find the design in any of the catalogues of the time. There is a transfer on the cabin roof but it is not one we recognise. If you know of this manufacturer would you please get in touch as we would be interested to know.

The hull is structurally good with a separate superstructure and engine cover.

The paintwork is not original but in places it is quite faded so obviously it has not been repainted recently.

The superstructure is removable. It is original and in good order although there is some repaired damage to the cabinroof. All of the windows have become detached. Many of them are available and could be refitted or used as templates.

There are some nice deck fittings and there is a dinghy. Some of these may be later additions. The rudder is original although the tiller is rudimentory and loose.

She is powered by an original electric motor but it has not been tested.  The prop shaft, and the propellor are original. There is also an original prop guard.

Pooky is quite delightful and could be displayed or, with some restoration, she could be returned to sailing condition.

Motor powered pond yachts are becoming increasingly difficult to find.

The stand is oak but is not as old as the yacht. It is included in the sale.
