This childs pond yacht/dinghy dates from the 19th Century and is wonderfully decorative. It was carved from solid pitch pine giving a lovely wineglass hull shape. She has a long keel and lead ballast.
The green paintwork is original but a little dull. The cockpit has been carved by hand and painted blue. The rudder is missing.
It is difficult to know if the rig is original as it is in such good condition. The sails are water stained but have no holes or tears. 
The oak stand is not as old as the dinghy but is included in the sale if required.
This is a very rare opportunity as most of the yachts of this age have been lost in the mists of time.
