It is generally accepted that the early years of the 20th century were the heyday of pond yachts. Towns and cities all had a least one model yacht pond. You only have to look at photographs from the Victorian and Edwardian eras to see the crowds that gathered to watch everything from steam launches, clockwork liners and warships, to large gaff rigged “J-class“ yachts entertain their owners.

Many of them were purchased from the iconic stores of the period Hamleys, Gamages, Bassett-Lowke, and Bonds o’ Euston Road. They were made to high standards and were very expensive indeed.

​We hope to offer a selection of these yachts and boats, but as many of these yachts are now 100 years old, they are becoming more and more difficult to find.
