This pond yacht has the wonderful lines that you expect from John Alexander. She is quite rare insofar as she is a long keel design rather than the usual fin and skeg layout. It has been suggested that this design of yacht was made exclusively for Bassett-Lowke.
She also has some lovely deck fittings including a decorative companion way hatch and skylight although both have slight damage. The mast step and the sheet horses are missing. The braine steering is present and original but also has slight damage. She will need a new rudder.
Overall the hull is in good condition but she would benefit from a complete repaint. She is likely to have been named White Spray but the transfer is illegible.
Obviously she will also require a new rig.
Alexanders are extemely popular so restoration is very worthwhile.
