This beautiful Bassett-Lowke Motor cruiser dates from the 1930's and is in wonderful condition for her age.

This is a rare opportunity as she can be displayed or she could be returned to sailing condition.

She was made in bread and butter format and then hollowed with a separate deck and superstructure.

The paintwork is all original. There are one or two marks and a little paint loss on the transom but generally she is in remarkable order for the yachts age. The superstructure is all original and in good order apart from two small cracks in the cabin top.

The wooden handrail has been repaired in places.

The original Bassett-Lowke plaque is present on the deck and there is an original anchor.

She is fitted with a Taycol electric motor which has not been tested. The original switch in situated on the foredeck. However there is no battery box. This would need to be addressed if she was to be returned to the water. Also, it appears that the prop shaft may have been replaced at some point and may not be watertight.

Bassett-Lowke yachts and motor cruisers are now very collectable and values of good condition examples have increased substantially over the last few years.

A wonderful opportunity.

Please note  :  this yacht has a large plywood carrying case for transporting her to the pond. It is included in the sale but please bear in mind that it will increase the shipping costs.
