This pond yacht is one of a range of yachts made for Gamages in the 1930's.
She has her original green paintwork above the waterline and varnish below. The deck has its original varnish with plank lines. Both the paintwork and the varnish have that wonderful crackled effect which happens over time.
She is fitted with a mahogany "swinging door" rudder.
This yacht has been sailed( there is a tether eye on the transom) so there are marks both on the hull and the deck. Please have a good look at the photos.
All the deck fittings are original. She also has the distinctive faux hatch cover associated with Gamages.
The sails are made of egyptian cotton and have a few areas of mildew marks and a few stains. Overall they are in very good order with no holes or tears. Bearing in mind how much sailing this yacht appears to have done they may not be original.
All the rigging has been renewed.
The stand is made of oak but is not as old as the yacht. However, it is included in the sale if required.
This yacht is very decorative example from the heyday of pond yachts.
