You could be forgiven for thinking this yacht was produced by Suggs of Liverpool. However the large London Stores of the 1920's and 30's sold Pond yachts of a very similar design.

There is an opinion that these yachts were made by Suggs in their factory. There are a few differences so in our opinion this yacht would have been sold by one of the London stores, probably in the early 1930's.

The hull was carved from solid, hollowed with a separate hardwood deck. The hull has a wonderful "wineglass" shape with a long keel and lead ballast. The hull is in good order for its age and has its original famous black and salmon colour scheme.

However, there are plenty of marks and paint splatters. Part of the starboard rubbing strake is missing.

The deck is original, with plank lines drawn on it. Again there are some marks and paint splatters on the varnish. There is a crack in the deck at the mast foot, however it is not recent and there is no movement.

Please have a good look at the photos to appreciate the condition.

This is a rare and very attractive yacht from a wonderful era so well worth the time and effort involved in restoring to her former glory.
