This pond yacht is one of a range of yachts sold by Hamleys of London between the wars. They are quite distinctive with their unique steering gear. This model is known as the "reg no" as it had REG stamped on the bottom of the keel and had a REG.771594 Union Jack transfer on both sides of the keel.
This particular yacht has been stored in her original box since she was made in the 1930's.
She does not appear to have been sailed but she has been displayed in ultra violet light, probably on a windowsill. This has discoloured the sails and caused the distressing of the hull paintwork.
The deck is in good order with its original finish and all the deck fittings including the steering gear are original.
The sails are original and in exceptional condition for their age. There are no holes or tears just a few stains and the discolouration on one side. All the spars, hooks, and bowsies are original.
This yacht does not require a stand as it stands on its keel.
It is rare to find a yacht such as this in such great condition.
