This delightful and very decorative yacht was sold by Star in the 1930's as "Star Hollow Yacht Bermuda Type" pond yacht. She is 18 inches long so would have been marketed as a BR4 and would have cost 168 shillings for 2.
This particular yacht is in wonderful condition for her age.
The blue paintwork and the varnish are original, and apart from a couple of marks and a small split in the wood at the stern, in very good order.
The deck is in very good condition with all original fittings.
The sails are original and in very good order with just a few rust stains. One of the stains on the jib has holed the sail. The cringles are all original and are in perfect order. The spars are all original with brass end fittings and all the hooks, rings and bowsies are original brass.
With their pastel paint schemes these Star yachts are very popular with interior designers.
Overall, because of its condition and originality, this is an exceptional yacht.
The stand is not as old as the yacht but is included in the sale if required.
