In the 1930's Star Productions produced Fishing Smacks both for themselves and for Lines Bros (Triang).

The Triang models do not appear to have been made in large numbers and consequently they are amongst the rarest of models produced in Birkenhead.

This particular yacht is outstanding as it is totally original.

The hull is in very good condition for its age with original stain and varnish. The condition suggests that she has never been sailed.

This could also explain how the sails have survived. Most Fishing Smacks, especially Triang examples, do not have their original sails as the material simply did not last. Unsurprisingly therefore these do have some holes and the main, topsail and the jib have been repaired. The mainsail has its original LB17 ( Lines Bros ) emblem.

The spars, hooks and bowsies are all original as is the rudder.

The deck is original with plank lines cut into it. The deck fittings are original and amazingly the Triang anchor and chain is still present.

We have been offering Stars for sale for some 15 years now and this is only the third Star/Lines Bros we have been able to offer for sale.

The stand is not as old as the yacht but is included in the sale if required.

Star Production yachts are very collectable and rare models such as this, especially so.
