This 19th century long keel pond yacht of a working boat is reputed to have been made by Stevens Dockyard.
The quality of the hull shape and the deck fittings support this. However, we do not have a copy of their catalogue and therefore cannot confirm this absolutely. We suggest that you search online for other examples and come to your own conclusion.
The standard of the hull is good for its age. However, it will need some repairs and a full repaint.
The yacht has a some sails but it is unlikely that they are original. There are 2 mainsails, one jib and a few spars. They will be very useful as templates.
The rudder is also present but has some damage and will need a new tiller.
Please look at the photos as they give a good guide to the condition of this yacht. If you would like any further photographs please do not hesitate to ask .
This is a very worthwhile project as as yachts of this era are becoming very difficult to find.
If the yacht was made by Stevens dockyard then she is very rare indeed.
