This spectacular long keeled pond yacht dates from the end of the 19th century.

She has been carved from solid with a separate hardwood deck.

She has a lovely "wineglass" shaped hull with great lines, lead ballast, and a swinging door rudder.

Remarkably, the hull has its original green paintwork. Obviously at this age there are some marks. Please have a good look at the photographs.

The deck has  a wonderful colour with plank lines. There are a number of cracks in the deck but they appear to have been repaired and there is no movement. There is a lovely hatch with a brass handle. There are a number of original fittings including the bowsprit mounting and pin rails for the jib sheets.

Even more remarkable are the sails which appear to be original. There are 3 foresails and a flying jib, a gaff mailsail and topsail. All except the topsail have blue stripes in the material. Apart from a small tear in the mainsail all the others are intact with some staining and foxing.

It is difficult with this age of yacht to know which spars are original. Certainly the topsail yards have been replaced and it is unlikely the bowsprit has survived.

She is a very decorative yacht from a great era of pond yachts.

The distressed stand is not as old as the yacht but shows the yacht well so is included in the sale if required. However, this yacht is very heavy and if the stand is to be used to show the yacht properly it will need some attention.
