Ailsa yachts were made in Largs, Scotland for many years both before and after the Second World War. This model is made of aluminium so it was produced after the war.

The hull paintwork is original dark blue  with a gold coachline with yellow below the waterline. The yacht has been sailed but is in very good condition with just a few marks and some paint loss on the ballast. The wooden deck is in good condition with its original varnished finish. There are a few marks on the deck edge from sailing.

The deck fittings and name plaque are original.  The rubber washer sometimes found at the mast foot is missing. However, the overall condition is very good.

The sails are original cotton and in very good order with no holes or tears. All the spars, hooks and bowsies are original. The spars are also original.

The stand is homemade but shows the yacht very well. It is included in the sale if required.

This is a really good example of a range of yachts which are now extremely collectable.
