This stunning Alexander is totally original and is offered with its original box.

The colour scheme is cream below the waterline and varnish above.

The yacht has been sailed so there are a few marks in the paintwork. However, overall the condition of the hull is very good indeed. The varnish finish to the topsides ensures you can see the wonderful bread and butter on the butt construction.

The deck benefits from having its original varnish with black planklines and a wonderful kingplank.  Again there are a few marks. There is an Alexander & Sons transfer just aft of the mast. All the deck fittings are original and in good condition. There is a lovely mahoghany toerail.

The spars, hooks, bowsies, and the sails are all original and in very good condition. The spars are blue painted alloy. The sails are in really good order having been treated with varnish or oil when new. The mainsail seems to have treated with more coats and is consequently stiffer than the jib.

The box is original but has been repaired with relatively modern hardboard.

At over 30 inches this Alexander is unusual as most surviving models tend to be between 21 and 26 inches.

She is in wonderful condition for her age.

The stand is mahoghany but may not be as old as the yacht. It is included in the sale if required.

The value of Alexander yachts has increased steadily over the last few years making good ones increasingly difficult to find.
