This yacht is one of the post war SB "Super Bermuden" range of yachts. She is 27 inches long and is called Baltic Star.
She has the round stern and brass fittings of one of the early 1950's models.
The hull has its original paintwork with the ballast and rubbing strake picked out in gold. There are a few marks on the bow and the ballast which suggest that she has been sailed at some point. However, she cannot have been sailed a lot as the hull is in good condition and the paintwork only has a few marks. The Baltic Star transfers are also in good order.
The deck has all original fittings and the varnish is original with a lovely colour. Overall the deck is in good condition but there are two small areas of damage amidships on the port side. Also there are a few areas where the varnish is scratched. The deck transfer is complete and original.
The rig is all original and the sails are in very good condition indeed with just a few marks and some water stains. There are no holes or tears. The rigging, spars, bowsies and hooks are all original. The bowsies and hooks are all brass rather than plastic which was used on the later yachts .The mainsail stamp is fine although it has faded slightly.
Baltic Stars are quite rare now and are not normally in such good condition.
She is a very collectable yacht.
The stand is homemade and not as old as the yacht but is included in the sale if required.
