This lovely yacht was made by Alexander of Preston and sold by Bassett Lowke.

She has the distinctive "red" varnish above the waterline which is associated with the "White Heather" range of yachts sold by Bassett Lowke.

This particular yacht has, not unusually for an Alexander, been sailed extensively.

The hull is in good condition but does have some scratches and marks most notably amidships on the starboard side and on the bottom of the keel.

Due to the sailing she has a little damage at the bows and on the stern.

The deck is original with a lovely colour and a mahogany kingplank and toerails. All the deck fittings, including the braine steering and its associated spring, are original.

The rig is original with all alloy spars. They are in good order and are painted cream. The hooks and bowsies are all original but most of the rigging has been renewed at some point.

The sails are in really good order  for their age with no holes or tears but they do have some staining. All the cringles are tarnished but are original and in good condition

Please have a good look at the photos as they give a good indication of the overall condition.

This is a very striking and attractive yacht by one of the foremost pond yacht manufacturers.

Alexanders are becoming more and more difficult to find so prices, for good examples, are appreciating in value.

The stand is not original but is included in the sale.
