Clyde Model Dockyard sold this yacht but it would have been manufactured by Ailsa yachts in Largs, Scotland. They made pond yachts for many years both before and after the Second World War.

This particular yacht is made from solid pine with a metal keel and lead ballast.

The hull paintwork is the original blue with a gold coachline and ochre below the waterline.

There is some paint loss on the bottom of the keel but other wise the condition is such that it is unlikely she has ever been sailed.

The deck is in good order with all original fittings including the brass CMD plaque. The varnish is also original and in good condition.

The rig is in really good order with original hooks, spars and bowsies. The sails are in wonderful condition with no holes or tears and just one stain at the top of the mainsail.

The stand is oak but is homemade and not as old as the yacht. It is included in the sale if required.

Ailsas are very pretty and are now very collectable. An example such as this with its CMD history even more so.
