This beautiful long keeled yacht is in stunning condition for her age.

She was carved from solid, with a separate deck, and a long wooden keel with lead ballast.

She has a superb "wineglass" shaped hull with wonderful lines.

The hull has its original  paintwork of black above the waterline and grey below.  The hull is in very good order with a swinging door type rudder which has a steering system which we have not seen before .

The deck is pitch pine and has  a wonderful colour with plank lines and original fittings. There is a mahogany hatch showing the name "Vera". The hatch has a small area of damage and one of its coamings is missing.

The rig comprises of a gaff mainsail, jib, inner staysail and a flying jib.

The sails are in really good condition with the lovely blue stripes indicative of that era. There is some foxing on the sails but no holes, tears or repairs.

It appears that much of the rigging has been renewed and the mast and bowsprit have been replaced.

She is a very decorative yacht from a great era of pond yachts.

The stand is not as old as the yacht but is included in the sale.
