This 1930's Alexander has the long keel hull design and is one of a range of yachts produced by them for Bassett-Lowke.
This yacht has been sailed so there are a few marks and stains on the hull especially on the bow. There is some paint loss on the keel. However, the paintwork of blue and cream is original.
The deck is lovely with its original varnish. The toerail is original and complete. All the deck fittings are original and in good order.
The spars are all original. The mast is jointed in two pieces which is unusual for this size of yacht. It may have been repaired if the mast was damaged whilst sailing.
Not unusually for a yacht which has been sailed some of the rigging has been renewed. The sails are in good condition for their age with just a few rust stains. There is one small hole in the mainsail and some of the cringles have been repaired. They are made of the characteristic blue stripped material of the 1930's.
The stand is not as old as the yacht but is included in the sale if required.
A very collectable "as sailed" yacht with loads of character.
