This very attractive pond yacht was made by Alexander of Preston in the 1930's.

She is called Erewhon and has the wonderful "wineglass" hull shape that you expect from Alexander in this period.

The paintwork is original cream but is distressed with scratches and marks. There are also areas of bubbled paint.

The deck is in good condition with the original varnish which has a lovely crackled appearance. She has  mahogany toerails and lovely faux cabin top and companion way.

The rig is in really good condition with wooden spars. The bowsprit has been replaced, perhaps on more than one occasion. The bowsprit fitting are not original and have been moved.

The sails are in really good condition with a few stains but no holes or tears.

If you were to consider returning her to the water obviously the paintwork would need some attention. Also you should consider that the steering mechanism, although original, is seized which has caused the rudder blade to break.

Please have a close look at the photos, which will give you a good idea of the condition, and if you require anything further please get in touch.

Erewhon is a very decorative pond yacht with a stunning hull shape, and is so full of character.

Alexanders have become the most difficult of classic yachts to find so they are extremely collectable.
