This large decorative pond yacht was sold by Hamleys in the 1930's.
Although she has been sailed she is in stunning condition for her age.
She is hollow with a separate deck with a lovely "wineglass" hull shape.
She has her original blue and cream paintwork. There are marks and scratches on the hull especially on the deck edge and on the ballast. The paintwork has faded over the years to give a wonderful patina. Please have a good look at the photos.
The hardwood deck is painted with plank lines drawn on it. It has a lovely colour with a red deck edge. All the deck fittings are original including the sheet horses and the steering gear
The rig is in very good order. The sails are original with a few rust stains but no holes or tears. They are made of the stripped material so indicative of the pre war years. Some of the spars have been replaced but the mast is original.
Much of the rigging has been renewed but all the hooks and bowsies appear original.
It is rare to find such a classic yacht in this condition and she is therefore exceptionally collectable.
The stand is later than the yacht but displays the yacht well. It is included in the sale.
