This delightful and very decorative yacht was sold by Star in the 1930's as "Star Hollow Yacht Bermuda Type" pond yacht. She is 21 inches long so would have been marketed as a BR5 and would have cost 228 shillings for 2.

Although she is in totally original condition she should be described as distressed. Certainly she is more than suitable for display but will require some attention if it is intended to sail her.

The paintwork of green above the waterline and varnish below is original but has marks and scratches. The deck is in good order with original but aged varnish. All the deck fittings, including the famous brass badge, are original.

The rig is all original. The sails are in good order for their age but are only suitable for display as there are some holes and some cringles have started to tear the sailcloth.

The spars are original and have their brass end caps. All the rigging appears to have been renewed at some point.

Please have a good look at the photos to obtain an overall impression of the condition.

With their lovely paint schemes these Star yachts are very popular with interior designers but are also, because of their rarity, real collectors items.

Overall, because of its condition and originality, this is an exceptional yacht.

The stand is not as old as the yacht but is included in the sale if required.
