Pin Mill in Suffolk is famous as an anchorage, and unloading area, for Thames Barges. There were also boatyards for the repair of barges and wooden yachts. Today the area is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

This watercolour captures that earlier time. It was painted in 1996 by Claude Murrills FRSA (Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts).

It appears to have been framed in the same year and is in very good condition.
