Albatross of Torbay was a family business which produced pond yachts from 1988-1996.

The majority of the production was small, around 8-15 inches. However, occasionally a larger yacht was made.

This particular Albatross is the largest we have seen. She is called "Kathleen" and is based on the design of Rater racing yachts of circa 1890.

All Albatross we have seen were made in wood. However, Kathleen appears to be constructed  in GRP with a wooden deck and toerails.

The gaff rig is original and as new with all original fittings. The sails are as new with no holes or tears. There are a couple of slight stains on the mainsail.

She has her original deck transfer and original stand with a name plaque.

These large Albatross yachts are few and far between, especially in this condition, and they are therefore very collectable.
