This yacht is the largest of the 1930's "Solid Yacht" range of yachts fitted with a bermuden rig. She is 21 inches long plus bowsprit and was designated 8a.
Amazingly she is completely original.
The hull is solid and in good order with a lovely hull shape. She has her original green paintwork which is in a wonderfully distressed condition. The deck fittings and the brass badge are all original.
The keel has lost some paint and has areas of rust. There is a crack at the hull/keel joint. Although there is no movement, the joint is solid, the yachts sailing days could be numbered.
The spars are all original as are the sails. Both sails have some rust stains and a couple of holes. Not surprising as she is approaching 100 years old.
All the rigging has been replaced.
It is unlikely the stand is original but it is included in the sale if required.
In her distressed condition this yacht is so evocative of the goldern age of Star Productions.
