The Arctic Star is one of the SB (Super Bermuden) range of Star Production pond yachts. This was the premier range of post war Star yachts as the models were fitted with an automatic steering system. She is fitted with blue sails and has a transom so she was made towards the end of production. 
This particular yacht is in good condition considering she has been sailed extensively.
The hull has its original paintwork of white with the rubbing strake, rudder, and ballast picked out in blue. The paintwork is in good order but has been touched up at the bow and on the ballast. There are a few marks and scratches. The Arctic Star transfers are perfect.
The deck is original with drawn planklines and a Star transfer. However, the edge of the deck is worn in places. The sheet horses and the self steering tiller are all original.
The deck transfer is present and correct.
The rig is in good order. The sails are in very good condition, with some faint stains, but no holes or tears. 
The  spars and all the hooks, rings, and bowsies are original. Some of the rigging has been renewed.
There have been some alterations made to the rig to enhance the yachts performance. A pin has been fitted to the mast foot. A brass ring is fitted to the mast to hold the halyards and the bowsies have been altered to give more grip.
Overall she is in remarkable condition as she has been sailed.
The stand is homemade but is included in the sale if required.
