The Western Star was the largest of the post war SB "Super Bermuden" range of yachts. This particular model has the round stern inherited from the pre war models.

She is in good condition but she has been sailed. It appears that at some point she has been repainted. There is a mark on the bow, some paint loss and some chips on the keel. The Western Star transfers are perfect.

The deck has all its original fittings including the self steering gear. The varnish is original. The transfer is perfect and there are plank lines drawn on the deck. There is a little damage on the deck at the bow from sailing.

The rig is all original and the sails are in good order with just some foxing. There are no holes or tears but about an inch of the luff on the jib has pulled out of the reinforcing tape.

The spars, bowsies, hooks and rigging are all original and in perfect order. The stamp on the mainsail has faded slightly

The stand is homemade but is included in the sale if required.

This yacht is in good order and as the largest of post war production is very collectable.
