The Western Star is the largest of the post war SB "Super Bermuden" range of yachts.
This particular yacht was purchased direct from the factory around 1985/6.
She is complete with her original box, stand, and all the documents supplied by the factory.
We were assured by the owner that for the majority of her life she has been stored in the box and has never been sailed. From time to time she has been displayed and on one occasion she was unfortunately blown over. There is one mark on the starboard bow and a couple of marks on the starboard quarter. There is also a scratch on the stand.
Otherwise she is as she came out of the factory.
The hull has its original paintwork of white with blue rubbing strake, rudder and ballast. The Western Star transfers are perfect.
The deck has all its original fittings including the self steering gear. The varnish is original. The transfer is perfect as are the plank lines drawn on the deck.
The rig is totally original and the sails are basically as new. There are no holes or tears. The spars, bowsies, hooks and rigging are all original and in perfect order.
The stand is original from the factory and is included in the sale.
This yacht is an exceptional example having been in her original ownership from new.
