This yacht is one of the rarest of the Star pre war Racing Special range of yachts. She is 27 inches long and is called Southern Star.

The hull is solid and in good order. It has its original cream paintwork which has crazed over the years. The rudder and the rubbing strake have lost some of their paint. There are a few cracks which can be seen in the photographs. These are not structural but in the paint. The paintwork could be cleaned and polished or it may be decided that a full repaint is required.

The deck is original with drawn planklines. All the deck fittings, including the braine steering and the cabin top, are present and original. It is likely that the deck will require revarnishing.

The mast and boom are original as is the mainsail. It is in good order but there is a tear near the head. The jib is missing as are most of the rigging and rigging fittings.

This is an ideal opportunity to restore one of the rarest of 1930's Stars.
