This pond yacht from the 1930's was one of a range of yachts sold by the famous London store Hamleys. She has been sailed extensively.
The hull is in good solid condition but there is an area of damage on the stern. The paintwork is cream and has deteriorated over the years. There is also some paint loss most notably on the bottom of the keel.
The deck is in good order with original varnish and a lovely colour. There are plank lines cut into the deck. The distinctive red paintwork is present as are all the original fittings. It is possible to see the mark where the Hamleys plaque was fitted.
It is surprising but the rig is original although much of the rigging has been replaced.
The sails are original but are stained. There are also a few holes and the jib has been repaired.
The condition of this yacht tells the rich story of her life.
Her sailing days might now be behind her but she still deserves to be appreciated.
