This pond yacht was carved from solid pitch pine with a separate deck. She has a long wooden keel with lead ballast.

The construction suggests she was made at the end of the 19th century or the first few years of the 20th.

The hull is varnished with the name Ruth cut into the bows.

The deck has plank lines and toerails.

The gaff rig is starting to show its age. The sails have a number of small holes and one or two cringles are pulling out. There are also some rust and water stains. The sails are perfectly good for display but their sailing days are over.

Please have a good look at the photos as they give a good indication of the overall condition.

Ruth is a very pretty and decorative yacht.

The stand is made of oak and is included in the sale if required.
