This yacht is the largest of the post war SB "Super Bermuden" range of yachts. She is 30 inches long and is called Western Star. This particular yacht has the early round stern.

She was acquired from her original owner who remembers his father buying her for him as a child in the early 1960's. He then sailed her for a number of years which is why she is fitted with a bow protector.

The hull has its original cream paintwork which, because she has been sailed, has some marks. Overall though it is in good order and the Western Star transfers are perfect.

The deck has all original fittings including the self steering gear. The varnish is original but has been patched with fresh varnish. This is most noticeable on the deck edge. The later varnish has also started to crackle. The deck transfer is perfect.

The rig is all original and the sails are in good condition. The sails have a few stains and one repair which is at the tack on the jib. The spars and the hooks are all original.

The stand is original and included in the sale.

Large Stars are becoming more and more difficult to find and this yacht has a lovely as sailed condition.

Very collectable
