According to the label on the underside of the hatch this yacht was built in 1954 and called "English Rose of Finchley."

With her hull shape and plank on frame construction she appears to have been based on a 1930's design.

Although she was obviously built to be a serious sailing yacht she is really good condition for her age so cannot have been sailed a great deal.

The hull has very good lines with a solid pine keel which has nicely faired in. There is a little damage on the stern but otherwise the hull is in very good condition.

The deck is mahoghany with lined "planking." All the deck fittings are original with full braine steering and handmade sheet horses and blocks.

The spars are original and the sails are as new and complete with their batterns. Some of the rigging has been renewed.

Overall this very attractive yacht is in really good condition indeed.
