Frank Suggs produced high class pond yachts in Liverpool between the 2 World Wars.
This is the largest Suggs yacht that we have been able to offer for sale. The majority were in the 10 to 16 inch range.
The hull is in good order and the paintwork is original although scruffy.
The deck has the usual convex shape and colour and the lovely carved toe rail. The toe rail does have one area of damage just forward of the starboard shroud fitting. The rudder shaft is damaged and the tiller is missing. There are two areas of rubbing strake damage, one on each side.
She still has her original sellers brass plaque on the stern.
The hull has the wonderful wineglass shape that you would expect from a yacht made by Suggs and at this size is a very worthwhile project.
Suggs are becoming really difficult to find so a large one such as this is well worth restoring.
