This large pond yacht has been carved , hollowed, and fitted with a hardwood deck. It is difficult to know if it was carved from solid or bread and butter.

The hull shape is excellent with classic wineglass lines and  substantial lead ballast.

There is a spoon bow and a long overhanging stern which suggests she was built in the 1920's.

The hull is in very good condition and the ballast is secure. She has been badly painted and would benefit from a fresh coat.

The deck is in very good order with original crackled varnish.

The original rudder is present but needs refitting. It appears that at some point a conversion to Braine steering has been considered. There is a rudder tube already fitted.

The yacht is complete with spars and sails although it is difficult to know what rig layout she would have had originally. The mast is original but the sails are not. They include two headsails, a gaff main, and a topsail which is almost French in shape. Judging by the large number of cleats on the deck she would have had a large rig of 5 or 6 sails.

Please have a good look at the photos and if you have any questions get in touch.

If you need further photos please do not hesitate to ask.

This would be a very worthwhile project for a large yacht from a wonderful era.

The stand is pitch  pine and could be original. However it does require attention . It is included if required.
