This pond yacht is called Josie and is styled on a trading schooner. She is complete with a stand and a storage/sailing box.

She appears to have been carved from solid with a separate painted deck. She has a long keel with fitted lead ballast.

The style and construction suggests she was made at the end of the 19th or beginning of the 20th century.

The paintwork is discoloured in places and has some marks. It is obvious she has been sailed in the past and may have been repainted. The deck is also painted with drawn plank lines.

The deck fittings are all present and in good order.  The rig is also in good condition. The spars appear original although as she has been sailed the bowsprit is likely to have been replaced at some point.

The sails are in good condition with water stains and some marks but no holes or tears.

The stand is quite distressed but is included in the sale if required.

Pond yachts of this size and age are very rare now so the survivors are very collectable.

If you would like further photos or details please do not hesitate to ask.

Please Note : Josie is a large yacht. She weighs just over 6 kilos including the stand. The sailing box is a further 10 kilos so a courier charge will be substantial. Collection would be a better option or it maybe possible to organise a mutually acceptable rendevous.
