This decorative pond yacht dates from the early years of the 20th century.
She is very well carved from pitch pine with a brass keel and rudder. The hull is hollow with a separate deck.
The design derives from a working boat of the same era. With its faux fish hold the most likely, in our opinion, is a Morecambe Bay prawner. The fish hold has a canvas and wooden slat cover.
The hull is in very good condition but, as you can see in the photos, she has lost some of her paintwork from the topsides which gives a lovely decorative look.
The rig is original apart from some of the rigging which has been renewed. The sails are in surprisingly good condition for their age. They are stained but do not have any holes or tears.
This is quite a rare opportunity as she makes such a wonderfully decorative statement.
The stand is basic but could be original and is included in the sale if required.
