At just over 30 inches this is one of the larger Alexanders. She was sold through Hamleys, one of the large mail order stores operating in London during the 1930's.
She is in need of full restoration. Although the hull is in good order she has been badly overpainted. The original colour scheme of black with a large green waterline can been seen. It appears that Hamleys Alexanders were often painted in black.
The deck has all its original fittings but the paintwork again is in poor condition. There is a lovely toerail fitted, with just a small piece missing at the bow.
The original Hamleys plaque is still present.
This Alexander would be ideal to restore especially if it was intended to sail her again. She is a substancial yacht weighing just over 4 kilos so she would have had a large sail area.
