Adamcraft dinghies were made from kits designed and produced by Naval Architect Harvey Adam in the New Forest. They are reputed to have been first introduced in 1947 and it appears production had ceased by around 1954.

Completed examples are now quite rare. We have only been able to offer 2 in the last few years. Well made models are still sailed and raced to this day.

This is the first time we have been able to offer an uncompleted kit. It was purchased by a gentleman in the late 1940's and has been stored in the family loft until recently.

Although it is generally thought that the first yachts were produced in 1947 this kit has a stencil on the side No4 MK1 1945 which appears to show that it may have been earlier.

The contents of the kit has been checked against the enclosed parts list and all the components to build the dinghy are present and correct.

The bronze and brass fittings have verdigris and will require a good clean. THere are two tools, a pair of scissors and a hammer which are rusty.

The original glue and varnish are also present but will probably need replacing.

The sail is "as new" and was made by famous Cowes sailmaker Ratsey and Lapthorne.

The instruction booklet and the plans are in perfect unused condition.

This is a very rare opportunity to an extremely worthwhile project.
