This Ailsa is one of the largest of the yachts produced by Turners in the 1930's. They are rare as the majority of Ailsa production was in the 14 to 21 inch range.
This particular yacht appears not to have been sailed as it is remarkable condition.
The hull is hollowed pine with a separate deck. The paintwork is original and in great condition with just a few marks and a little paint loss on the ballast.
The deck is wonderful with original varnish. All the deck fittings are original including a small faux cabin top. The nameplaque is perfect and shows "Ailsa Yacht Made in Scotland".
The sails have a few stains but are in really good order with no tears or holes.
All the rigging including the spars, hooks and bowsies are original.
Overall this yacht is in amazing condition for its age which makes her very collectable indeed.
The stand is oak but is relatively modern. It is included in the sale if required.
