In the 1930's Star Productions built a range of Coastal Steamers. They were wooden and powered by clockwork motors. They were intended to be sailed.

They were not produced in large numbers and consequently are very rare. In 10 years of selling Star yachts this is the first we have been able to offer.

This particular ship has been sailed and is now in need of a restoration.

It is unlikely that any of the paintwork is original and it would benefit from a complete repaint. However, the hull is actually in good order for its age.

The deck fittings are all present including the famous brass plaque. Some of the "portholes" are missing.

Unfortunately the clockwork motor has been removed as has the propshaft and propellor.

The masts and crane jibs have been tied up for the benefit of the photographs. They will need to be rerigged.

These steamers are considered to be very decorative and collectable.

The stand is oak but is not as old as the coaster but is included in the sale if required.

If you would like any further photos please do not hesitate to ask.
