1930's Stars have become increasingly rare over the last few years. This particular yacht is a wooden keeled BR4 Hollow yacht Bermuden type. She has been sailed.
The hull is in good condition as is the paintwork and varnish. It appears that she may have been repainted. However, it must have been some time ago as both the paintwork and the varnish have been overvarnished which was common practice when yachts were sailed extensively.
The sails have been replaced. They are in good condition with just a few stains but no holes or tears. All the hooks and bowsies are original. The mast and booms are original but the bowsprit has been replaced. Most of the rigging has been renewed.
The original sails are also available if required. They are in poor condition but could be used as templates.
These early models have a wonderful hull shape which, to a degree, we feel was lost in the post war yachts.
This is a rare and great opportunity for the collector.
The stand is included in the sale but is not as old as the yacht.
