This 1930's Star is one of the larger "solid" range of yachts sold by Star before the war.
She is wonderffully original and although she has been sailed she is in surprisingly good condition for her age.
The paintwork is the original cream with green keel and deck edge. There are some paint chips from sailing.
The deck is painted with drawn planks and the original 1930's transfer which is quite rare and different to the post war transfer. All the deck fittings are original but have some rust which has marked the sails when she has been sailed and stored wet. This has given the sails some mildew marks and in one or two places the rust marks have made some small holes. There is a small tear at the mainsail tack.
The rig has its original spars, brass ferrules, and brass bowsies. Some of the rigging has had to be renewed.
In the last few years this is only the second time we have been able to offer a totally original 30's "solid".
A rare opportunity as original Stars are now very collectable.
The stand is modern but is included in the sale if required.
