This stunning 19th century pond yacht was called a Fore and Aft Schooner and sold by Steven's Model Dockyard.

She could be displayed but would benefit from a thorough refit.

She was carved from solid with a separate hardwood deck. The hull shape is wonderful with a clipper bow. She has a separate long keel with fitted lead ballast.

The rudder and tiller are brass and maybe a later replacement. The hull is in good order and the paintwork, although a little dull, is original.

The deck is plank lined, and many of the fittings, such as cleats and pin rails, are original. There is a lovely bulwalk but the capping has a little damage in places.

She has a number of spars but it is unlikely they are complete. Certainly the bowsprit has been broken.

The stand is mahogany and shows the yacht beautifully. It needs a little attention and a good polish but is included in the sale.

Pond yachts of this design and age are very rare now, especially those made by Stevens Model Dockyard. Such is the quality she would have been very expensive when she was new.

So the survivors are very collectable indeed.

Please have a good look at the photos as they give a good guide to the overall condition.

If you would like further photos please do not hesitate to ask.
