This unusual and rare pond boat was carved from solid and fitted with a separate deck and superstructure.  She is fitted with a weighted keel so was obviously made to be sailed. The design is of a late 19th century gunboat.
The construction and design suggest that she was made in the early years of the 20th century.
She appears to have her original paintwork of grey and red below the waterline. It is a little distressed. There are also some parts missing however in this condition she is a quite striking display model.
Alternatively you may consider that a boat this rare deserves to be restored.
She is fitted with an original clockwork motor which has not been tested.
There are 2 name plates on the bows marked "Neptune".
