This unusual and rare gunboat model was carved from solid and fitted with a separate deck.  The design is of a late 19th century gunboat.
The construction and design suggest that she was made in the last years of the 19th century. Although she is fitted with a hatch there no signs that she has ever been fitted with an engine so it is likely she is a static or builders model. 
She appears to have her original paintwork of grey. However, it is a little distressed. There are also some parts missing although even in this condition she is still quite a striking display piece.
Alternatively you may consider that a boat this rare deserves to be restored.
