Frank Suggs produced distinctive high class pond yachts in Liverpool between the two World Wars. They were then sold through the large stores of the time such as Gamages and Hamleys.

The majority of the production was in the 10 to 16 inch range. This particular yacht is the largest Suggs we have been able to offer for sale.

In recent years she has been extensively restored. The hull has its original paintwork and the deck its original varnish. The deck fittings and all the rig have been restored.

Please look carefully at the photographs and if you have any questions do not hesitate to get in touch.

We do not normally offer restored yachts but had to make an exception in this case as Suggs are so difficult to find especially the larger models.

The stand was probably made at the time of the restoration and is included in the sale.

The deck has the usual convex shape and colour and a lovely carved toe rail.

The hull has the wonderful wineglass shape that you would expect from a yacht made by Suggs and is a really pretty yacht.

Suggs are becoming really difficult to find.

The stand is not as old as the yacht but is included in the sale if required.
