This is a very rare Star pond yacht so it is well worth restoring.
Star produced this model in the 1930's both for themselves and for Triang.
The hull is very similar in construction to the Star/Triang fishing smack. However, this model was fitted with a clockwork motor and a superstructure.
This particular hull is in good condition with original finish of blue paintwork and dark brown stain. There is a propellor but it is not fitted. It will need a new rudder.
The superstructure is present but the bottom plate has delaminated and will need to be replaced.
A new steadying rig will be needed.
There is a comprehensive guide to the restoration of this model on the internet complete with photos and instructions.
A link to it and a number of pictures of complete models are available on request.
If you have any questions about this very rare model please do not hesitate to get in touch.
