The Comet is the largest of the post WWII BR range of Star Production pond yachts.
Due to their vibrant colours the BR's are probably the most decorative and therefore the most collectable of all the Star yachts.
The paintwork is all original, green above the waterline and white below. The topsides have a few chips and marks dating from when the yacht was sailed. These are most notable on the port bow. The Comet transfers also have a little damage.
The deck has all original fittings and has its original varnish finish. The deck transfer is perfect.
The sails are original but with a few stains. However they are in good condition with no holes or tears. One or two cringles are missing. The mast appears to have been replaced at some point and the rigging renewed.
All large Stars are now very collectable especially this range and the Comet was one of the most expensive to buy when new.
She is a very striking yacht offered at a price commensurate with her condition.
The stand is homemade and not as old as the yacht but it is included in the sale if required.
