In the 1930's Star Productions produced Fishing Smacks both for themselves and for Lines Bros (Triang). 
Both the Star and the Triang models appear not to have been made in large numbers and consequently they are amongst the rarest of models produced in Birkenhead.
The hull is in good condition for its age with original stain and varnish. There are some marks and paint loss on the keel which suggests that she has been sailed. The rudder is original.
The deck is original with plank lines cut into it. The deck fittings are original and amazingly the triang anchor and chain is still present.
The sails still have their distinctive colour but are starting to show their age. One or two cringles are missing and the foresail has some holes. At this age it is unlikely that the bowsprit is original and the mast may have been replaced. All the hooks and bowsies are original.
We have been offering Stars for sale for some 10 years now and this is only the second Star/Lines Bros we have been able to offer for sale.
The stand is not as old as the yacht but is included in the sale if required.
Star yachts are very collectable now and rare models such as this, especially so.
